Principal's Message

Dear MCES Families,

 

Our students in grades 6-8 have worked hard on their Scantron testing this week. We will continue to conduct some of our small group testing over the next week. Our students in grades 3-5 will be tested on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17. Please encourage the students to get a good night's rest and also eat a healthy breakfast on these mornings.

 

I would like to congratulate our middle school archery team on their participation in the NASP Alabama State Tournament last week. These students will also be advancing to the National Tournament in Louisville, KY on Saturday, May 11.

 

Progress reports will be sent home with students on Thursday, April 18. On Friday, April 19, Madison County Schools will be closed for students. This is a weather day that we are not required to make up during the school year.

 

As you are aware, Madison County Elementary is a Title I school. Our school receives federal funding each year to enhance the instructional program for our students. We would like to have feedback from our parents as we start to develop plans for the 2019-2020 school year. Please complete the Title I survey at the link below to help us in this process:
