This is my first year with Madison County Schools and I am very excited to be joining the Madison County Family!
I graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2013 with a major in p-12 Instrumental Music Education and Instrumental Performance. My primary instrument is the Trumpet, which I have played since the 6th grade. I am in year five of teaching and have taught both general music and Middle School Choir.
Since graduating I have completed Level I and II of the Kodaly teaching method. The Kodaly method emphasizes folk songs to teach literacy concepts to young students. I have also begun teaching Ukulele this year to my Middle School Students using folk songs as a base.
I live in Madison with my husband Abraham and our Corgi, Major Babsikins and our cat, Kitty.
I look forward to all the adventures I will share with our students this year.
