I am the third, fourth and fifth grade special education collaborative teacher. I attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville for my bachelor's degree in elementary and special education and the University of West Alabama for my master's degree in special education. I have been teaching special education for ten years. This is my first year at Madison County Elementary School and I am delighted to be a part of the MCES family. Being a part of a collaborative team is always rewarding. I have the privilege of working with teachers and students daily to provide intervention, remediation, and inclusion. I am a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and utilize Google tools in my instruction. In my spare time I enjoy kayaking, taking pictures, reading, and exploring with my husband, my twin daughters, Hayden and Meredith, and my son, Harley. There is no job better than teaching. Each day is different, and children are a constant source of amazement. They are fun to work with, and watching them learn and grow is extremely rewarding. Every day is an adventure! In addition to working with children, it is very rewarding to work with their parents as well. As partners in your child's education, we can collaborate to help your child succeed!
